Personal Experience
Mary is the founder and managing partner of THARUMA TREVISAN Advocates. Having left the private sector in 2013, she comes with vast knowledge of commercial and conveyancing Law. She obtained her LLM in Environmental Laws from the University of Northampton in 2006 therefore is well versed with environmental management laws, conveyancing, and corporate governance. This also gave her a special interest in Environmental Impact Assessments and Water and Sanitation.
She has been a director of a company dealing with cutting-edge solar solutions as well as water and sewerage infrastructure projects funded by the government and African Development Bank. She has also held directorship at companies that are engaged in real estate projects and the mining and mineral extraction industry.
Mary is chair of the Human Capital and Governance Committee at Pioneer International university and sits on the boards of numerous companies with operations in East Africa.
